Call us now:
Here is a great example of where AI fails. AI maybe able to capture the information necessary to make these stoves.
Today, it cannot capture the tacit knowledge or skill of this highly accomplished gentleman. Who demonstrates a rapidly diminishing art of sheet metal work.
But why care? Well, that’s simple. AI today is good at interrogating the data it has. But it doesn’t do great with tacit knowledge, and tacit knowledge resides in all processes. It’s what makes this gentleman know exactly where to hit, how hard to hit, what angle to hit, how to hold the hammer or chisel to shape the sheet, to make a quality product.
That was captured in Gartner’s AI hype cycle and MIT’s recent report on AI success.
