For the insurance industry, such attacks are concerning. Taking control of a 35,000-ton ferry creates a significant risk of consequential losses.
Importantly, the Maritime industry is a sector covered under NIS 2. Requiring companies to adopt cybersecurity risk management. Both the French and Italian Governments are yet to transpose the regulation.
