I’m my view there is a move within the US to implement NIST as a common standard for cyber security. Which can only be a good thing, not because it’s NIST, but because there is a move to recommend a standard for agencies and companies to follow.

CISA, the DHS Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency has set out a really simple approach to enable SMEs to grasp the basic concepts of cyber security and apply techniques to protect their assets.

A great move in the right direction.
