It should be of no surprise that concerns are now being raise in Washington of the threat IoT devices, and OT technology for that matter pose to security. The recent investigation launched by the U.S Government against Rockwell Automation and its use of off-shore coding facilities, is a further demonstration of those concerns.

The enclosed letter from the Congressional Select Committee on the CCP to the Chair of the Federal Communication Commission, raises many of those concerns and issues. Highlighting the use of IoT by U.S First responders, that contains technology from companies financed by the CCP.

One suspects their is a focus on the reliance of many technologies that originate from China, and used by U.S Federal and State agencies. As the increased threat that IoT and OT pose to national security is understood.
