It’s the good old adage that cybersecurity ‘is an asymmetric risk’, don’t you know. The challenge with AI today is that allot of it, (most of it), relies on Large Language Models. Using large pools of data on what has happened to infer a response, that is not a bad thing. As LLMs fill with more data they become more astute at being able to compare and contrast data to define a response, as the article discusses.
One has to say that with the cyber posture of most organizations, it does not take a complex machine learning model to damage an organisation. Using LLMs provide more than enough information to enable a ‘Script Kiddy’ successfully target an organisation.
