Just when you thought it couldn’t get worst, a third party supplier of services to UK airlines at London Stansted suffered a data breach.

Inflite The Jet Centre was hacked and the details of Afghans who are part of the relocation scheme were stolen.

Data including passport details (including name, date of birth, and passport number) and Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (Arap) reference numbers, it said

The government said the incident has not posed any threat to individuals’ safety, nor compromised any government systems. So it’s OK.

Those who have lost family members in Afghanistan may disagree. Those that face the threat of death may disagree.

Governmemt system were not compromise. but third party suppliers were and they are just an extension of the risk. Which government department is accountable and how much more data is out there?
