One cannot agree more. The past 3 years has taught us the impact of cyber and technology failures on CNI.

United Health, Crowdstrike, the Iberian power incident, compromised Inverters in solar farms, Collins, US Congression panels on nation state threats and prepositioning, compromised telecommunications networks. Whilst not CNI, Marks and Spencer and JLR.

But with all these, where is the wakeup call? The EU is regulating CNI cyber, the US is getting more serious, the Australians are in on the game with the Canadians. Unless and until there’s more pressure placed on cybersecurity and supply chains the needle won’t move. To create a whole of society focus on cyber, history tells us the adoption of carrot and stick is needed, otherwise ‘what’s in it for me’ will always take precedence.
