One of the biggest problems with cybersecurity risk management governance and remediation, is boards themselves. They do not have the knowledge, skills and experience required to manage, oversight, assure and attest cyber risk. Knowledge Skills and Experience regulations such as the EU NIS 2 and DORA set out and the SEC final cyber rule defines for Sub Committees and Accountable Executives.

The coming months may prove pivotal in cybersecurity risk management, as cyber attacks illicit regulatory oversight. Evaluations of 10K submissions start; attack frequency, complexity and severity of impact continues, and cyber is identified (time and again) as a national security problem.

Veritas GRC are finalising their board cyber program, working alongside our audit and legal partners. Developing a program to enable boards appropriately oversight and assure cybersecurity risk management and cybersecurity program compliance.
