Poignant words from the UK National Cybersecurity Centre on the need for UK industry to manage cybersecurity, as the threat of cyber attacks on UK industry continues to rise.
Cyber is a major threat to the UK industry. Companies of all shapes and sizes are affected, irrespective of industry sector. Cyber attacks over the past 5 years have demonstrated the effects of cyber as a domain of operations. Only recently, the UK MoD reported a possible cyber attack that resulted in the theft of data related to UK military bases.
UK industry must enhance its understanding of cybersecurity and risk management, as well as their impact on corporate resilience. It is important that awareness of cyber in the boardroom is raised. But boards also need to be aware of the knowledge, skills, and experience that they need to be able to govern, oversight, and assure cybersecurity risk management.
Veritas GRC has published programs in GCC, accredited by The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department. Educating General Counsel and boards of companies on cybersecurity risk management to implement appropriate governance, oversight, and assurance of cybersecurity. Our e-learning board governance over NIS 2 and all staff programs, and the US DoD DFARS/ CMMC governance program, will be released publicly in Q4 2025.
