Sounds very similar to Norsk Hydro. The reliance on integrated ICT from the board room to the shop floor is laid bare when incidents like this occur. The cost of the Norsk Hydro attack was around $70 million. We do not know the cost of the attack but it sounds as though it will be significant. Give the impact communicated in the media it looks as though a range of systems have been affected, likely the ERP and Shop Floor Data management systems.
