@Thaddeus Dziekanowski a great article in the Japan Times on corporate governance, and its move up the board agenda. Across many jurisdictions globally, as investors move to consolidate influence over their investments. With Japan increasingly the focus of activist shareholders.

One raises the question of the role of the activist shareholder, corporate governance and the role investors are playing in changing the board room. Specifically when one considers the effect the specific risk cybersecurity plays in the future of board room governance.

Cybersecurity risk management is the largest risks most board face; it is the least understood and managed risk; it is a risk that is demonstrated to destroy corporate value and increases board legal risk and it is rapidly becoming a regulated risk with specific focus on boards to demonstrate governance over cybersecurity risk management.

One wonders how long before corporate governance around cybersecurity risk management and cyber regulatory compliance becomes a focus for investors Faisal Khan?
