The challenge when one considers the role of AI, is its impact on organisational Trust, and the role the 2nd and 3rd line has in the assurance and oversight of organisational Trust. AI is a powerful tool when used appropriately; however, there are many areas of AI adoption across corporate functions where AI can unwittingly erode trust.
As noted by the CEO of Palantir in the past week, corporate AI adoption is being questioned by boards, as Frontier AI models consume corporate IP and Data, the ownership of the Application layer and ontologies, and the ownership of compute and models.
