Thank you for posting Olaf Classen. ERP and supply chain software are the backbone to manufacturing and supply chain. They are complex integrated platforms, linking many aspects of of business operations including shop floor planning, product tracking, supply chain management, procurement, HR and Finance. One only has to remember the Norsk Hydro hack to understand the effects on ERP as a single point of failure, that is critical to Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) providers.
If correct, the challenge is not just related to patch management. Further systems re-configuration and communications is required to secure implementations, to address the vulnerabilities discovered. A significant task for any organisation.
