Thank you for posting Ted Dziekanowski. Cyber security risk management cannot be solved by any one country, state, trade association or organisation, it requires a collective national and international approach. Individual nations can implement and enforce cybersecurity legislation, however nations relay upon international digital trade and data flows that move across national boarders.

Cybersecurity necessitates the harmonisation and collaboration of cyber risk management regulations and standards. Without which there will be a significant impact on international trade, national security, legal and compliance risk.

The SEC proposal and EU NIS demonstrate the potential impact of cyber regulation on national and international organisations. Regulations that could set up diametrically opposing standards for cyber compliance.
