Thank you for posting Tom McLeod. As always you capture the essence of the challenges facing the audit community, as it relates to AI. Over the next few weeks we at Veritas GRC will release our Board Governance over AI risk management programs into the GCC region. Working with the The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department and Sophie Best from Knowledge Nexus. Our suite of programs include Board Governance over cybersecurity risk management, Board Governance over data and Board Governance over Cloud. They form the four pillars of information security risk management. We address many of the points you raise below both for boards and internal audit.Auditors play a pivotal role in the affective assurance over AI risk. Supporting boards identify the risks AI poses to their organisations. Risk that include bias, ethics, security, data privacy, model management and manipulation, economic and social impacts. Both board members and auditors need educating on the fundamentals of AI and how to develop and deliver an AI risk management system for oversight and audit assurance.
