History has shown that the dark side of cyber has evolved into a very profitable business, with profit margins greater than 90%, no barriers to entry and you don’t need an office.
We’ve seen high profile attacks over the past 18 months that have affected CNI, in part demonstrating the effect of ransomware on society, the level of cybersecurity maturity and knowledge skills and experience of boards to manage, oversight and assure cyber security compliance.
Whether the stats are accurate or not (we know allot of ransomware attacks go unreported), it is clear that ransomware attack are increasing year on year and attacks won’t diminish. The questions that everyone seems to struggle with is, what are we going to do about it, what is the solution.
