Call us now:
The brighter new world they call AI is at a crossroads. Take the blue pill, and you follow the global adoption model of AI, backed by Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, and Anthropic. Take the red pill and follow the brighter new world that is now raising its head with the likes of ClawdBot, Moltbot, now called OpenClaw.
As noted by Nate B. Jones, we may be moving towards a third option, where our use of technology and AI is split between the red and blue pill. Our dependency on digital and connected infrastructure means we cannot divorce the traditional (not so old) methods of using technology, AI, connectivity, and security from the general perception that people will do whatever they want when you give them choices. In the case of OpenClaw, the manifestation of AI giving AI access to core infrastructure and allowing AiI the flexibility to autonomy in decision-making. At the expense of our traditional security models, which we put in place for very good reasons, and throw our global risk models out the window.
Who wants to secure their stuff anyway…..well, we all do. We all depend on each other to protect our security and protect our data, and giving access to AI to my email exposes my conversations with individuals who may not want their data exposed. The recent opportunities and threats created by OpenClaw have exposed fundamental questions about our use of AI that no single source can now address. We’re on a rollercoaster ride, and we have no idea where it’s going……………..but it is going, and no one controls its direction or the brakes.
We’d better regulate organisations quickly and do a better job of enforcement.
