The CEO of National Australia Bank, Andrew Irvine discusses the challenges facing SMEs in Australia. Yes you guessed it Cybersecurity is up there as an issue that small companies face in Australia. With average cyber crime losses rose from $30,000 in the the financial year 2021 to $46,000 in FY23. Small companies find it difficult to adopt new technology, with 49% of companies needing education.
SMEs in Australia are looking for help in streamlining regulatory compliance and easing the cost barriers for adopting up to date cyber technology. One could assume the challenges Australian SMEs face is a proxy for those challenges all SMEs consider.
