The data regulatory environment is gathering pace, we have GDPR and California’s CCPA to name two. India, one of the largest countries by population, alongside China, is progressing its own data legislation through parliament.
The Bill which has very close similarities to the EU GDPR is due for review this quarter, or the Winter parliamentary session. One has to say that when a country as diverse and large as India moves then its worth listening to.
So one to watch the outcome of and if you trade with India, one to pay attention to.
