The enclosed is an interesting read focusing on the changing job market in the U.S for lawyers. Specifically the role of lawyers in ‘Cybersecurity transformation’, with the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and their teams becoming more involved in cyber.

77% of respondents identified cyber transformation as an activity they are involved in. This should be of no surprise with the rise in data protection regulation, cyber incident management, the development of cybersecurity programs and impact of cyber on regulatory reporting. One expect that as cyber regulation develops we will see more cyber lawyers both in house and partner firms advising corporate clients across the whole spectrum cyber ‘Left and Right of Bang’ including cyber compliance advisory, risk management, contract law, regulatory reporting, incident response, and litigation.
