The Executive Office of the US President released a Memorandum on the 26th January 2022, for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies to implement a Zero Trust Architecture by the end of FY 2024. ‘Moving the U.S. Government Toward Zero Trust Cybersecurity Principles’. Aligning with OMB policy.
It requires agencies to achieve specific zero trust security goals by the end of Fiscal Year (FY) 2024. Organized using the zero trust maturity model developed by CISA.‚Â
It’s another example of US Federal Government addressing its cybersecurity maturity in line with the National expectations of securing critical infrastructure and public services. Following other Supply Chain and Cybersecurity EOs signed in 2021 and the aggressive development of cyber legislation and regulatory enforcement programs.
