The UK Bank of England, in conjunction with the Financial Conduct Authority, has formalised its position on operational incident and outsourcing third-party reporting, following a consultation with industry. Aligning policy aims with regulations, including the EU DORA.

The final policy addresses responses to consultations to improve covered firms’ operational resilience. Introducing new requirements and expectations of PRA-regulated firms and UK Solvency II firms reporting of operational incidents.

The Bank of England plans to implement the final rules and policy materials in March 2027.
