There are consequences for both sides if you do not manage cybersecurity risk. Access management is a critical capability for all companies and failing to manage employee access to IT assets when they leave a company, has consequences.
As demonstrated here both for the company involved and the employee. As the failure to remove access to the employers network cost it £200,000 in lost business and reputational damage. It cost the employee a criminal record and a 7 month prison sentence.
