There’s a lesson to be learnt here for defensive cybersecurity by nation-states and CNI providers. Thats not to say that our CNI providers could necessarily defend themselves against a nation-state cyber threat in the event of war. But war is no longer kinetic, its preceeded by or in parallel with cyber, and it’s fair to say that the US, China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are at the forefront of cyber warfare.

Maybe an introduction in this post on why cyber warfare is so important, ahead of kinetic warfare. Removing national and military communications from the battlefield is an important precursor to the destruction of physical military assets.

Cybersecurity is National Security. CNI security is Cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is cyber defence and resilience. It’s not a complex triangle, but it seems a complex capability for some nation-states and organisations to master.
