The CMMC is gaining pace, introducing cyber security into the US DoDs supply chain. It aims to address failing in protecting sensitive government data and will impact companies big and small at an obvious cost.
But as the article suggests implenting basic security hygiene is a start to the complex journey of NIST compliance.
I suspect that over time, this will be the basis for other governments to adopt a similar approach.
