Where will National Supply Chain Security and SolarWinds sit with the new US administration? The 2020 Hack linked to breaches in SolarWinds source code has exposed significant deficiencies in Federal Cyber Security. With Microsoft highlighting that the sophistication of the attack and congressional leaders being asked to renew their focus on supply chain security. I can only see cyber security, the Federal Risk Management Framework and frameworks such as CMMC being a focal point for the new administration.

Albeit, as has already been proven. All the tools in the world won’t stop a determined nation state hacker on its own. There has to be a focus placed upon implementation, oversight, assurance and timely response if anyone is going to be successful in managing cyber risk.
