Call us now:
While there are doubts about the benefits of AI and the value it delivers to corporates. Over time AI will become ‘the way we do business’, if nothing else it enables us to search through masses of information to identify possible solutions to problems we have, and solutions to problem we didn’t know we had.
However one thing is very clear is that we need to enable governance over the use of AI for many reasons. As current versions of AI rely on the large amounts of digitial data that we have recreated over the past 50 years. By the end of 2024, it is estimated that we will create double the amount of data that we did in 2020 (yes I used AI to find this figure, so its indicative). Irrespective of the accuracy, society is dependent upon digital, switch it off and to quote an engineering term we are all ‘buggered’. It’s difficult to think what doesn’t depend on digitial and data to operate today.
Its a reason why we need guard rails through which the governance over AI should be managed. Its great using AI it has many, many benefits, but we must remember that AI today simply evaluates the data of yesterday and if that data is inaccurate that the answer that you get maybe wrong. It also important to note that we we evaluate that data we may well use it to make decision here an now, decisions that without governance, oversight and assurance over the AI models has the potential to make bad decisions.
