Call us now:
I often wonder if anyone really cares anymore if companies suffer from data breaches. Even if it’s the personal data of some of the more high profile members of society. $42Mn for data on the US president, is there any information which is so inflammatory and so destructive that anyone will pay $42Mn for it? Especially given the fact that once the data has gone, its gone. There can never be any assurances given by anyone that it’s been deleted and will never be used. However time may tell.
What concerns me is that 750Gb of data left the company and apparently no alarms were raised. With all the ‘state-of-the-art’ technology employed, how long was the hacker inside the company, was the data encrypted, how long did it take them to get that amount of data out and why wasn’t it spotted. Don’t get me wrong cyber isn’t an easy job.
Law firms do appear to be making the headlines relating to data breaches more and more.
