Thank you for sharing Luca Leone. The publication of the EUs defence strategy is a very useful read providing opportunities for cybersecurity across the EU. It presents the importance of cybersecurity and discusses the need to build closer links between cybersecurity and cyber defence. As the pace of cyber attacks is increasing, targeting both civilian and defence assets and networks.

Cyber is described as a strategic enabler for the security and defence sector. As demonstrated by the recent US announcement of the theft of DoD data by Russian state sponsored attackers, from its DIB.

Although the level of funding that the EU has set aside for cyber may need careful consideration, it may not be enough to bring it in line with international partners. The development of US cyber legislation and regulations maybe a useful pointer to the direction of cyber security strategy and plans that may provide a steer as the EU moves forward and implements its strategy and plans.
