Here’s a proverb that resonates with the application of AI’s, where knowledge, skills, and experience of doing a job carry more weight than information alone.

‘It is better to travel ten thousand miles than read ten thousand books.’ As experience defines what and who we are, experience is more than just information. Something that AI, as yet, cannot replicate.

When you apply this to tasks across professional services such as audit, cyber, and legal, it’s a statement that holds true. You’ll never replace internal auditor with AI, but you can improve efficiency, risk, quality, and reduce risk. But as yet not replace knowledge, skills, or experience.
