I’m still scratching my head as to why cyber stocks are down, unless markets are spooked that cybersecurity tools may not be able to manage cybersecurity risk after all. Cybersecurity is such a complex risk that it requires more than security products to manage it, and AI is demonstrating that it can find holes in infrastructure that should have been closed. But that’s not the fault of security product vendors.

Cyber is a significantly complex risk to manage and requires many products and services to actively manage security. Add to that, AI has both offensive and defensive capabilities that are being exploited by hackers.

As AI develops, we are in for an interesting roller coaster ride. Where one suspects AI will win.
