Following the clearing of the last hurdle a couple of weeks back for the EU GDPR, the implications of the regulation are starting be felt out side of the EU. Whilst it is down to local European regulators to assess its implications, the core tenants of the regulation reflect the need to protect the personal data of European citizens where ever it is held.
