Well it looks like it’s true or is it just me. The European Parliament and its MEPs gave their final approval for the new European data protection rules on Thursday 14th April. Please take a look, basically it sets forth a range of provisions for data protection for European citizens. I hope you are all prepared, have your data protection officers (and CISOs) in place and factored a 4% fine on total worldwide turnover into your risk models if you breech the legislation.
