The US House of Representatives held a Committee meeting The AI Security Landscape: How Frontier Models, Agentic AI, and AI Coding Tools Are Reshaping Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Resilience on the 3rd June.
The challenge ahead of the US, as discussed in the hearing, is not just the pace of change that AI is creating for commerce. But AI now poses a threat to National Security, at a time when organisations’ struggle with cybersecurity risk management. Cybersecurity risk management has historically been ignored, underinvested, and unmanaged across many boardrooms.
AI is now changing the board dynamic for cybersecurity. AI is accelerating the threat AI poses to National Security, on top of the threat that Cybersecurity has historically posed.
Cybersecurity is National Security.
