The UK is working on a national security response to the recent developments involving AI and Anthropics model Mythos. It is positive that the UK Government is taking the issue seriously. The problem is not one of engaging with UK security services NPSA, the issue is one of too many companies, not enough, and poor cybersecurity.

When one understands AI, cybersecurity, and the recent AISI report. Cyber Essential is not a good enough response to the issues the UK industry faces. AI is still in its infancy; the UK needs more qualified cyber, security, and AI professionals to counter the threat faced by nation-states that will use AI.
