If there is any doubt about the complexity of cyber regulatory compliance, then you only have to look at the education expectations being placed on the management of covered German companies by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) for EU NIS 2 legal compliance
The BSI is one of the more prolific commentators on cybersecurity across the 27 EU Member States. This may be because Germany recognises the impact of cyber attacks on its critical infrastructure, or the threat it faces from a dynamic threat, or the fact that a significant number of its public and private sectors will be affected by EU NIS 2 and DORA Georgios Alevras.
What is clear from their communications is that management has a legal responsibility for ensuring cybersecurity and risk management. That management are required to provide training as part of their legal obligations to comply with ENU NIS 2 Brian D. McCarthy.
