The cyber attack cost Jaguar Land Rover dearly.

JLR posted a £485 million loss for the 3 months to the end of September, compared to a profit of £398 million for the same period in 2024. In addition, the company declared an additional £196 million on top of headline costs for cyber-related work. That’s a lot of work in a 1-month period (the cyber attack was at the end of the reporting quarter).

On top of the JLR loss, the UK economy is also reported to have been affected by the hack, as the Bank of England reported this week that the Jaguar hack affected UK GDP growth figures.
