One does not know the technical extent of the cyber attack on JLR, other than what is reported. But one does know that risk transfer sits both left and right of bang, and for most companies, cyber insurance is the predominant tool to handle cyber risk today.
Not having cyber insurance is an issue for any company. Least of all when it comes to managing a cyber incident and its associated costs, and at a minimum, being able to call on the experts that the insurance company has on call 24/7 to manage the incident.
