There’s nothing new about the boom-bust-boom life cycle. As Gartner recently reported, the AI Hype Cycle for Gen AI demonstrates that AI is moving through. MIT’s report on the failures of companies to successfully adopt AI somewhat demonstrated it, spooking financial markets.

As also reported by the Financial Times, are we heading up the rise of AI towards a peak, then a rollercoaster-sized drop? Followed by a stable, more mature adoption cycle as use cases demonstrate the value of AI in real-world terms?
