As tensions and military actions increase in the Middle East. Iranian state sponsored hackers such as APT34 (OilRig) and APT39 (Remix Kitten) are thought to be groups behind the 700% spike in cyber attacks against Israel, over the past 2 days. While it is reported that Israel’s cyber activities also increased, as it launched ‘Operation Rising lion’.

Both nations will be testing out their logical capabilities, along side kinetic warfare. Prioritizing espionage, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS), ransomware, and destructive wiper malware with a focus on CNI. If you can get into a system, you can invariably wipe a it. It maybe an occasion where we see the use of AI driven campaigns, actively targeting disinformation to amplify the situation and undermine public confidence.
