Those damn retail supply chains. We started at the end of the line with Marks and Spencer, the Coop and Harrods and now we appear (a sample size of 1) to be moving down the retail supply chain. As Peter Green Chilled announces it has been hacked.

If one believes that retailers are vulnerable to cyber threats, those companies that take a smaller slice of the margin, are likely more vulnerable. One only has to consider the hack against UK haulage firm Knights of Old in June 2023, they were forced to file for bankruptcy.

One does not yet know the impact of the hack on Peter Green. But while Peter Green Chilled is not a big revenue generator. It sits in the niche market of temperature controlled food logistics, that makes it important to UK retailers and food distribution.
