Let me be very un-British for one moment. Cybersecurity is such a threat to the public and private sector; such a threat to national and economic security. Is it now time investors mandate all board members have performance related incentives added to their pay packages. Directly targeting resilience, including cybersecurity. We no longer live in the world ‘Captain Mannering’ would recognise (you have to be British to understand this quip). We live in a world where digitial dependence, international communications and national security are connected and require board attention. Issues that most boards are not skilled enough to govern.Should investors be mandating board pay and incentives targeted to the management of resilience; yes. Should all board members from the Chair down; members of the management committee from the CEO down, and members of board oversight committees be incentivised to govern and managed resilience? Maybe investors in Marks and Spencer, that have lost 14% of the value of their holdings in the past month can answer the question. The US Securities and Exchange Commission answered it quite clearly.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D. McCarthy Faisal KhanVeritas GRC#cybersecurity #cyberresilience #cyberriskmanagement #cyberattack
