No hack is a good hack, but, it may have been less server for the Coop as the BBC reports that the Coop took the difficult decision to disconnect their systems when they identified the threat actor inside their network. That may have been a different story for other recently hacked retailers. The hacks on both the Coop and M&S have demonstrated the costs of cyber attacks on UK retailers. Bank of America estimates the fallout from the hack is costing M&S £43m per week. Whilst the Coop is planning to start distribution of products to its shops this week, there is no announcement of when M&S will be getting back to normal operations. This maybe an indication of the differences in approach to the cyber-attack and actions taken early on by the 2 companies.@Thaddeus Dziekanowski Brian D.
