There are a few statements about risk and cybersecurity that always ring true. Cyber is everyone’s problem, and you cannot transfer the accountability for risk management. The challenge ahead, which cannot be ignored, is that we require defensive cyber strategies. These strategies need to sit across all layers of government and society. You cannot rely solely on each layer, but have to consider them collectively.Not only do I use locks on the doors and windows of my house and car, I rely on my neighbour doing the same; I rely on my local police; local and national laws and government. All for collectively defense.Why is cybersecurity any different?
