A great article, raising concerns in the US about the security of Chinese made medical devices. Following recent investigations by the FDA and CISA that identified anomalous network traffic and backdoors across several devices. The security flaws“allow the device to download and execute unverified remote files” to an IP address not associated with a medical device manufacturer or medical facility but a third-party university — “highly unusual characteristics” that go against generally accepted practices, “especially for medical devices.”With an unknown number of monitors in the US and concerns being raised by the American Hospital Association of the proliferation of Chinese made medical devices.
