Thank you for posting Olaf Classen. In ones opinion this is an important announcement about NIS 2 from an EU National Regulator, specifically the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. When one reads this one sees that the Danish Finance regulator has taken the step of introducing NIS 2 to named ICT suppliers of Danish Financial Services companies. Taking a broader almost DORA scope of applicability. Setting out NIS 2 deliverables on those yet to be named covered ICT vendors (Chapter 19c).

This places NIS 2 and DORA both in front of covered FIs and ICT vendors, closing a regulatory compliance gap. NIS 2 affects banks and financial market infrastructure (NIS 2 Appendix I), while DORA affects FIs. In ones opinion the actions of the Danish Finance authority pulls both regulations closer together. Placing NIS 2 cybersecurity risk management regulatory requirements into the boards of those covered ICT vendors, that supply a scope of FIs defined by DORA.
