Call us now:
@Thaddeus Dziekanowski a reason why cybersecurity is in trouble.
One has always been amused by the term ‘next generation protection’. We’re always trying to get to the next generation when boards and CISOs don’t understand or manage current risks. It’s as though a solution is going to do something radically different to the last solution. Likely it’s going to manage your cybersecurity, when it won’t.
Cyber tech requires updates for so many reasons. Poor product design; a changing threat landscape, signature updates. or even a pooly designed OS; buggered opensource code.
With the onset of cyber regulation one hopes that boards and CISOs, whose reputation is on the line, will be pushing risk back on cyber tech. So the tech carries more risk associated with failure. The Crowdstrike Client contract is a demonstration of what gone wrong in cyber. Lots of upside and little downside for tech.
The basics need sorting before we can reduce update frequency.
