When you’re a third party supplier cyber is a critical risk that should be managed. The recent confirmation of a data loss at AT&T add to the growing list of companies affected by cybersecurity at Snowflake. Resulting is a drop in Snowflakes share price on Friday.

For any digital solutions provider cyber is the top risk. One would say more so if you are a cloud provider, or cloud hosted provider. @Thaddeus Dziekanowski you have said many times that cloud is a great solutions when done well. Customers and suppliers bare the burden of cloud security, one of clouds biggest risk is the risk of aggregated losses from single points of failure.

Customer of cloud solutions must remember that cloud providers and cloud solutions only carry a small percentage of the security risk. Customer must be aware of their responsibilities under the share responsibility model. https://lnkd.in/ezCZcGRv.

One suspects that until third party supplier risks are under control, managed by customers and suppliers, with appropriate board governance, oversight, assurance we will see more events.
