The enclosed demonstrates the severity the U.S government is taking cybersecurity. The U.S government and CISA gives 1 day board cyber training to board members of critical-infrastructure companies to improve cybersecurity oversight.
Board governance, oversight and assurance are critical to the management of cybersecurity risk. Least of all boards need to understand how to question their leadership teams over how critical cyber risks are proactively identified, evaluated and mitigated across the enterprise.
By way of example CNI providers in the EU will be regulated to demonstrate their management of cybersecurity from 2025. Boards will be required to demonstrate governance, risk management, oversight, assurance and attestation of cyber risks in order to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
