The UK and U.S have raised the concern of the external influence China and other nation states over their Critical National Infrastructure over the past 12 months.
While the challenge ahead for all nations is the historical adoption of technology designed and/ or manufactured in states that may potentially pose a risk to national interests; not having enough skilled and experienced shop floor cyber resources to manage cyber security risks; and not having enough experienced cyber leaders in board rooms and accountable executives to shape and deliver cyber strategy.
One wonders what the UK defensive cyber strategy is, and if the UK government can move forward quickly with cybersecurity risk management. Ahead of what is a looming cyber threat?
